Hashim Ahmed Law Advisory

About H.A. Law Advisory

An independent paralegal practice working with private clients across England on housing, family and private client matters.

What we do

H.A. Law Advisory is an independent paralegal practice. We prepare documents, review decisions and write representations for people who are dealing with a legal problem or planning ahead. Our work covers three areas: housing, family, and private client services such as wills and lasting powers of attorney. In housing we help with council banding and allocations, homelessness and suitability decisions, and complaints to councils and the Housing Ombudsman. In family we prepare applications, statements, position statements and hearing bundles for private children and financial matters. In private client work we prepare wills, including mirror wills and wills with straightforward life-interest trusts, and we prepare lasting powers of attorney for registration with the Office of the Public Guardian. Every matter is prepared as a fixed-fee piece of work, with the scope and the fee agreed in writing before anything starts.

Who we work for

We act for private clients who want clear, practical help without the cost and delay of a traditional law firm. Most of the people we work with are tenants and licence holders, homeowners, parents and families going through a separation, or people putting their affairs in order later in life. They usually need the paperwork done properly, and they want to understand what is happening at each step. Everything is explained in plain English, and we tell you plainly where a matter needs something we do not do. We do not offer legal aid, and we are not a firm of solicitors. Where a case needs court representation or specialist legal advice, we say so and help you find the right professional.

Who runs the practice

The practice is built and run by Hashim Ahmed, an independent paralegal. Every enquiry is read personally, every matter is handled directly, and the working tools behind the practice, including the intake forms and the case records on this site, are built in house so that information is collected once, handled confidentially, and kept in one place.
